The Lone Acting Nominees

Jessica Lange Miniseries: Episode 104 - Country (with Will Steele)

Episode Summary

This week on the show, we're kicking off a brand new miniseries for the month of August! Following up her double nominations in 1982 for both Frances and Tootsie, the latter of which she won for, Jessica Lange would go on in the next 12 years to receive four more Best Actress nominations, each of which was a lone nomination, tying her with Meryl Streep for the most represented performers on the list of movies I'll be covering. The first of these four nominations was for her performance as the matriarch of a farming family who stands against the impending loss of the farm in Richard Pearce's COUNTRY!
